All 4 boosters listed in my 07 owners book are no longer for sale. Dealer tells me 09 book claims all NHTSA approved boosters will fit. Called VW customer service and they will not discuss car seats and told me to call NHTSA (nice). NHTSA was no help at all. My Graco backless booster seat sits on top of the rear seats and wobbles. Kids cannot be safe in this. Any ideas about a narrow booster? Probably needs to be backless as my 7 and 5 year olds need all the leg room they can get. Thanks much.

I have a Graco backless boster in mine (for my 5 yo). I agree it seems a bit wide but once my daughter is in it it seems to press down and can be secured by the seatbelt. I think they all come from the same mold and are about the same width, but if you do happen to find a narrower one I'd be very interested!

Our Graco's didn't fit and marked the leather seats - you need the Britax Horizon

Fits well into the rear seats. You don't need the seatbelt adjuster - I removed mine. You might fine one second hand

After much searching online and in stores, I FINALLY found a car seat that I really like for my 22 month old daughter. I just got it at Toys R Us and it is the Cosco high back booster - Gotham

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3420762

It is narrower than most seats, has a very easy to use LATCH anchor system (so much easier to tighten than my last Graco seat) and the 5 point harness is adjustable from the front so no need to take it out every time your child grows and needs more room. This seat also functions as a high back booster seat when they outgrow the need for 5 point harness. For the first time in the past year and a half, I'm finally happy with a child safety seat in the Eos. For those of us in the USA this may be a great option. The price in store was listed at $59.99 but they matched the online price of $49.99.

We are 2 weeks into our new Eos and have to do something to make it easier for our kids to get in and out of their booster seats. My oldest is in a 'no-back' while my youngest still needs the 'high-back'.

I found a neighbor that has the perfect no-back booster and it's a Clek Olli - very expensive for a booster seat, but it will be used for many years to come. I'm going to order it today.

I'll look into this high-back you found, but can this one be used without the 5-point harness? My 4 year old can use the seat belt with the guide built into the high back seats. I just need to find one with a base small enough to fit and be able to buckle and unbuckle easily. Do you think this one will work?

I would think that the one I mention above from Cosco would be perfect for you. It absolutely CAN be used without the 5 point harness.....you just take out the straps and put the seatbelt around the child (of course LATCH anchor the seat to the Eos).

We test drove an EOS yesterday with 2 children both use booster seats.
The cloth seats are no problem with a standard seat but the leather is a problem however we took with a Britax Horizon as recommended in this Thread and I can confirm it fitted perfectly. This is because the seat tapers underneath. The seat only cost £12. The dealer was amused for someone to buy the carseat before the car!!!

Apologies for a a late thread but...

You need a Brittax Super Cruiser - fabulous seats - essentially a polystyrene shell bucket seat that puts the seat belt at the right level via a sliding head rest. Not available new anymore, but I'd look hard for one second hand ebay have plenty. A sister uses ours (which wasn't new).

Can you see a common theme here...B...r... etc...

You can buy new covers for them if that helps
