Just got a 2007 EOS that needed work. There seems to be a box missing just to the right of the intake manifold. The cold air hose to the maniford is there and the battery box is there but there is a void that looks like it would hold an airbox or such.

I am unfamilar with EOS and don't know what's missing.

Thanks for any help.

You don't say which engine which could confuse replies? :(

My Tdi has a huge air box there holding the air filter. Have you looked for the air filter? If that is just 'space' you are lucky because there is hardly any space on my 2l TDi.:(

Picture is pretty poor with it not showing the whole engine bay, but think it looks complete and nothing is missing, though you are missing a little cover to complete the airflow elbow from the grill unless it's underneath and just not joined to it.

Look similar to my 2.0 TFSI, which also doesn't have anything there.Don't think there is anything missing.

Also look slike my brothers 2.0 fsi golf which also has a "void" there

I think if something important was missing you would get the malfunction light on because these engines are full of sensors.
