Guys

Although the fuel cap has some figures they make no sense to me, they are in bar i think, watever that is?

For those who have 18 inch tyres what is the recommended psi for front and back and does it vary with a full car??

cheers

You could put more in the rear tires if you are always carrying more people or pulling a trailer. If you do pump up the rears and you aren't carrying the extra weight, you will get a harsher ride and extra noises in the car such as road suface noise or possibly the dreaded roof rattle. also check the sidewall info on the tires to see the max tire pressure you can use.

Did your car came with 18" factory fitted wheels? What are all the pressures that you have in the fuel cap steacker (you can put the Bars)? I change from 16" to 18" and now I don't have the new pressures ...I think the guy at VW service said 36 psi.
