Having ordered some wheels already I came across these.

Am thinking of having them sprayed black, the same colour as my EOS.

What do you think?

If I do, does anyone know how much I could sell my 18" Chicago's for, with tyres that have done 4000miles.

Nice Wheels

Rob,
Nice wheels. Think you should leave them as is, or get them chrome plated to go with all the trim on the car.

Don't like them at all, they look like those solid wheels you get on bicycles.
Sorry but I thinks all of the VW range are much better than these.

I agree . I like the Chicargo's on my EOS much more than i liked the wheels on my old R32. Will be interested to see how your new wheels look.
I must admit the power upgrade is tempting.

Would expect that you would get some decent money for the Chicargo's and tyres. On my old R32 they wheels were £350 each and when I had a nail it a tyre I was changed just over £200 for one tyre because they were low profile 18" the same as the EOS. Worth checking the price with a dealer to see the real costs.

When I was quoted for replacing the Chicago alloy and tyre on mine, after I dinged it the continental tyres are £195 fitted and the Chicago rim was 'around' the £400 mark.

Wheels

Aloha Rob,
Thought about it, I think I prefer the Lemans that came on my US Spec Eos. Rob, everyone has different opinions, and it is nice to see that this car comes in so many variations. In the US, we are very limited as to what we can pick, VW has already done it for us.
As usual, almost all US bound Eos are loaded with options weather you want them or not. I wish we had the individual here.
What ever you decide, it's a cool car, and it's all about fun!
Mahalo,
