Hi everyone. Its high time someone in NI owned up to having an EOS! The infamous weather here fails to dampen the sheer joy the car has brought me. There are at least another 4 cars in my village - so are we too busy driving them to post? Any more of us out there?? :)

Hi there, you've found another EOS owner, one of the Hillsborough ones!
love the car, but roof is a bit noisy, I see that the seals need to be lubricated. Have you had this done?

Hiya PSL - great to hear from a fellow owner. I've treated the roof seals 4 times in the last year, and to date no leaks, and no noise to speak of. In the colder weather, it creaked a bit, but it's currently silent. :)

I went straight to an internet supplier - found the details on another forum - the name escapes me, but I'll hunt out the details and reply when I can!:)

I would appreciate that info. Another gripe I have had is that a rear quarter light bumps down half way when roof is raised and I have to keep pressing the switch to get it to stay up. Perhaps because of seals being to inflexible ? Dealer computer records no faults. (I feel they think I'm inventing the problem ).

However I still love the car and hope for some decent weather over Easter to enjoy the open air!

Hi PSL,
I haven't shared the same window problem you have. Mine seem to function ok - though a few scratches appeared on the quarter lights over the winter, which could be mechanically-caused. The Krytox came from:

GBR Technology, Unit 6 Jupiter House, Calleva Industrial Park, Aldermaston,
Reading, Berks, RG7 8NN

tel: 0118 9820567 fx 0118 9820590

Cost for 2x Krytox GPL105 30ml bottles/applicators £42.89 inc postage/vat

It lasts for ages, as it is used fairly sparingly.:) Hope this is useful for you. I had the roof down this evening. Tomorrow's weather isn't promising, but the weekend is!!

Hi PSL, that is good news. I've found it really effective too, especially after a weekend in Donegal where the roads can cause the odd creak. The noises always vanish. Some owners find the whole seal-lube-thing tedious, but I actually sort of enjoy it - just part of having a charismatic car!:)

NI eos owners - Krytox ?

Hi All, if you're still there !
I'just bought eos ( girlie car according to my 22yr old son !).
2.0 litre petrol TSI auto leather island grey - love it.

Concerned about "leaks" - no evidence that I can find but want to treat seals.
Best place to get this "Krytox" ??
