Sorry if this is a stupid question but does anyone know if the wind deflector can be retro fitted or must it be done at the factory? Any advice on ease of fitting also appreciated. Hoping to pick my EOS up on Thursday - can't wait!!

No problem retro fitting as all cars come with the appropriate holes/slots. Have a look on Ebay for a wind deflector ... I've seen a couple there over the last few months.

I second that, ive got one but it came with my baby, buy it from VW and its about £200 quid.............yikes.

One went on ebay lasy week for £89, sucking eggs i know but you could google for aftermarket and see what you get.

They are very good, not much differnce in relation to wind on your neck but it cures the vortex in the footwell.

Couldn't do without it, it sure cures the old hair blowing forward syndrome. Not that I have that problem sadly but the wife used to in other convertables!
Good Luck with your collection Bob, see your not too far from us either, you up for a meet at Chatsworth (see EOS 2008 meet thread) in June ? Where about in Warwick are you, I spent most of my ill gotten youth there
