i have purchased a wind deflector for my long awaited eos from e-bay (uk) it is sold as a genuine vw part. the deflector is from a seller called via-carolina it cost £170 + £15 p+p. it arrived promptly, it looks good but as i have not got my car yet i have not been able to put the deflector to the test
Hi denny, did your wind deflector come with the case too and is it the genuine article ? There are some bargains to be had on ebay I got a spare set of mats Genuine for £15.50 unused and just missed a suitcase for £27.16 which is pretty good. Either way enjoy your EOS I waited 9 months for mine and she is beautiful in all ways and the chicagos were the cherry on the top for me, you cant help but look in shopw windows as you drive by as they glint ! A very very happy EOS nut !

the wind deflector did come in a leatherette zipped handled bag, i have not seen any others so as far as authencity i took it on face value, have looked over bag and deflector for any part no etc, all i can tell you that it has three picture instructions on the bag with the vw logo in the top left of the first pic. it does appear to be well made (no tatty edges etc) but even at the price of £170 i think it is very very expensive for what it is, but hey its an accessory for my new arrival!!
the suitcase you missed, was it recent if so was it the one that had to be collected from york??? it was not me who won it, but thought someone had bagged themselves a real betty bargain there.

After looking at the prices the UK sourced wind deflectors were reaching on e-bay I also decided to buy from via-carolina for £170 + £15 p&p. I clicked "buy it now" on Sunday and it arrived from Austria 4 days later on Thursday. The rain finally stopped on Saturday, so we tried it out. It does make a very big difference - definitely worth having.
As far as I can tell the wind deflector is a genuine VW part. It looks just like the one in the handbook and comes with the leatherette carry case. As you can probably tell I'm very happy with the purchase

der32 - I think a new entry from the seller has just been posted. I searched for "eos wind". The current item number is 290141787028. I can see no mention in this listing of the leatherette carry case, so if you want the case you may want to check with the seller first.
You can checkout the one I bought by searching for "eos wind" and selecting the "completed listings" box in the search options.
