Does anyone have an issue with the top up at highway speed experiencing excessive wind noise at the top of the windshield (windscreen)?

I have a constant whistle at above 50 MPH which is quite annoying! The noise seems louder now that winter is upon us, here in Massachusetts.

I have read of the issue with leaks at the windshield at or around the interior light cluster.

There is a TSB concerning the issue but I am curious of others experience with wind noise. Mine has not leaked any water at all

I mentioned the issue to the dealer, however the day the car was in for service and the car was road tested there was heavy snow at the time. A second tested with me in the car will be scheduled and we will be able to demonstrate the issue with out the poor weather conditions being a factor.

Any thought and comments are appreciated!

I searched the forum and did not find any comments relative to wind noise or whistling noise.

No whistling here. My car only has 1400 miles on the clock. Just got back from a 200 mile trip at speed up to 75 MPH and thought it was a very quiet ride considering that the side windows are not in tracks as they would be in a sedan.

I realize your complaint is about noise with the top up. I also find with the top down, the car is much quieter and with less wind blowing in the cockpit than any convertible that I've owned. I traded in my '95 Mustang convertible to buy my '08 Eos. It was a sad day to see it go, but it best feature was driving into a parking lot where people could see it drive by. On the road with the top down, it was very noisy and windy.

The beauty of the Eos is the built-in windshield deflector and the rear seat deflector that reduces wind to a gentle breeze. This is the main feature that sold me on trading up to the Eos.

Ours is very quiet. I never think about road or wind noise when driving, so it must not be there, not in excess anyway.

I had some wind noise that sounded like it was coming from the front and it ended up coming from the right side of the car. The seal that is between the passenger window and the rear window was dented inward upon receipt of the vehicle. The dealer replaced the seal no questions asked. The noise went away except for when those same seals are wet, that seems to make a bit of a noise but nothing as irritating as the wind noise you are mentioning.

check your seals and make sure they are "bubbled" outward between the windows.

Wind noise is to be expected in any vehicle without a fixed roof....

My noise comes mainly from between the windows and the seals.

Not much though. I love it on the motorway...

Sorry, but have to disagree. I've had quite a few convertibles and even my newer soft-tops have had negligible wind noise. I have none with the EOS, so there must be a fault if you have any noise surely?

Hmmm, maybe you're right.... I just accept it as I am worried that if I get the noise fixed, then something else will go wrong!!
:D I agree with you. I have a little bit of wind noise coming from somewhere on the right side of the car (probably right rear window) at speeds above 35mph. While I would rather have a perfectly quiet cabin this little noise is not bothersome enough for me to let a dealer mess with it and possibly create another problem such as a leak, which is my biggest concern. So far not one drop detected and I'd like to keep it that way ;)
