Hi

Does anyone know how to get rid of the stupid warning that comes on screen at 55mph !!!!

It only started a week or two back and I am sure I haven't touched anything....

Graham
Hi Graham,
If I remember correctly this is set using the MFD settings. I quess you accidently set it at sometime.

Thanks Jim

Is this done with the steering wheel buttons ?

Graham
Hi Graham,
Yes, use the steering wheel buttons. I'm in England without my EOS, so I can't check exactly where in the menus. But I'm sure you should be able to find where.

Happy New Year,
Jim.

Fraid not.
I went into the options and found that the Winter Tire setting
was turned on. Simply changed to Off with the buttons on the wheel and Hey Presto !

OK. Maybe I'm thinking of the Speed Limit Warning! Sorry for the mis-info (I don't have any buttons on the wheel so assume I have no winter tyre warning anyway! We don't need winter tyres here.)

Take your point, maybe your lucky, as my first post shows, it is very frustrating when the "Winter Tyre" warning comes up.

At least if you don't have any buttons you can't screw it up!

Now if VW had arranged for a "Winter Tyre" warning to come up on the display as you changed your tyres, that would be clever. But thinking about it,if you had just splashed out a few hundred quid on tyres, you would not really need reminding would you !
