Not sure if this has been done before but thought I would start it so please use the poll and also tell us your age in a posting below:

I'm 30 (a young still feel like i'm 18 kind of 30!)

Thanks Shorenuf for the Greeting .... I agree that 60 is the new 40, 80 is the new 65! I'm President of a retired Professional's Club with 250 members. (I'm a "baby" in the group) Let me tell you they are a very alert and active group!

Think it may be tough once the poll has been started........... probably can't recast prior votes. Think it will still be interesting. Good Boy, Gavin. Gotta keep you busy until your car shows up!

Only just..........

Well I've ticked the 40's box, but it's a good job I saw this now, 'cos it would have been the next one up in a few weeks!

Well that settles it ........... here's an idea for VW Marketing:

"Get an EOS and take 30% off your age!"

So maybe I should have two and be a kid again!

 Most new cars (most new anything actually) are marketed to the young 'uns. We older buggers know what we want and generally disregard the marketing hype, or at least think we do. I guess the marketeers take this into account and target the "younger" set.
Anyway, I'm in my 40s and I hope I'm still there when my EOS finally arrives.

Never to Old!

We have had our EOS now for three weeks and love it. I will be 62 in August and my wife 63 the end of the month. We sold our 06'Jetta TDI to buy this car. Just an 19 year old trying to get out of this 60 year old body.

2007 EOS Eismeer Blue w/ Beige Leather - 6 speed (Manual) Sport Package and 17"wheels.

Poll

Good idea this poll. I'm (just) 56 coming on 19!!!

S'funny but when you are a kid you announce that you are 9 & a half & looking forward to 9 and 3 quarters - now I do this in reverse whilst watching my last birthday recede at warp speed & my next approaching even faster !

Just a thought on the demographics, but given the relatively high cost of the EOS (compared to its so called rivals) is it not inevitable that the buyers would tend to be older than people in their 20's thereby reflecting the assumed higher earnings......? ----- I haven't mentioned our obvious appreciation of quality and class...

wonder how much the insurance would be on an eos for an under 20, maybe we should talk about insurance, we all want to be fully insured for as less as possible. if you feel that you have a really good policy why not let us in on your secret

I'm 35, and have the 2.0T.

I got a quote online selecting the Make/Model from the list and putting in the vehicle details myself and I got a quote of ÂŁ450/annum.

I put in my registration and let them look up the car and it was ÂŁ300.

I'm with Swift Cover - only ever really 'used them' for a windscreen chip repair and they were fine.

Anyway - what are you doing hi-jacking my thread! :)

Well i'm only 25! Consider myself very lucky that I will be picking up a brand new Eos on Tuesday! Also well paid!

By the way, I'm a Motor Fleet Insurance Broker, so your insurance chat is right up my street!

A 20 year old on a TFSI would be around ÂŁ3,000.00. Compared to a 25 year old at just over ÂŁ1,000.00. Anyone under 20 trying to insure a TFSI would find it very difficult!
